Pastoral Year 2019-2020
Welcome to our parish! If you’re new to The Netherlands, it takes time to adjust to new surroundings and perhaps a different language and culture. If you have children, they may also feel strange in new schools and among new peers. From our international community, we’re sure you will meet some new friends who can advise you about shops, schools, housing, etc. We hope to become for you a ‘family away from home’.
The Church of Our Saviour is a large vibrant community which caters to all. When you’re far away from home, it’s a comforting thought that you can still worship in English. During our Sunday morning mass your children can continue their Religious Education by attending our special classes, and your toddlers can have fun with our Children’s Liturgy group. Older children can also follow courses for completing their First Communion or Confirmation. If you’d like to know more about these, please go to the Welcome Desk after mass or phone the Parish Office.
Please don’t feel too new or shy to get involved with one of our volunteer groups. Even if you’re only here for a short while, we offer many opportunities to get involved at all different levels. Over the past sixty years, people from all over the world have invested their time and talents in our community; we continue to build on what they have left. In the same way, future generations will also benefit from what we contribute to the parish today.
In our Welcome Package we have a list of all our groups. Please take time to browse through and see which group captures your interest! You may contact the Parish Office at firstname.lastname@example.org to inquire about any group which you may find interesting.
It is wonderful to have you with us. If we can do anything to help you in your transition to The Netherlands, please just let us know!
