Socks of Love!

November 15, 2021

The First Holy Communion children and their families will be busy with a LOVE-ly community service project this year! For their “Socks of Love” initiative they will be filling pairs of warm socks with food and toiletries, which will then be donated to the homeless in time for Valentine’s Day (via the Meals for the Homeless at Westeinde Chapel and the Sisters of Charity Soup Kitchen in Rotterdam.) Warm socks are the item most requested by charities for the homeless and this will be a way of helping to meet that need, plus a little more. All of the children in the COS RE programme will be making cards to attach each pair of socks as one more gesture of love and kindness.
