On Monday, 5 September the COS Praatcafé was held for the 50th time! The Praatcafé was an initiative of the Justice and Peace group’s refugee project to provide an informal setting where status holders can practice their Dutch conversation skills. Our guests come from various countries including Iran, Syria, Yemen, Afghanistan and Turkey. What they have in common is that they are all eager to improve their Dutch language skills. Our volunteers and guests engage in small (and big!) talk or play language games and they all enjoy this special social contact. We can always use more volunteers. If you feel confident in your Dutch language capabilities and you think you would appreciate this special work (90 minutes, once a week), then please contact Anthony Heinsbroek (heinsbroekanthony@gmail.com).
