The new COS Music Ministry had an inaugural retreat on 19 October at the Landgoed Den Burgh in Rijswijk. The retreat was led by Mr. Neil John G. Capidos from the Catholic University in Leuven.
During the day, the 31 attendees sang and reflected on a variety of topics, including:
- Listening to God’s voice and discerning how we are uniquely called to live out a life of service and commitment in ministry.
- Reflecting on ways to stay rooted in faith, fostering harmony amidst challenges, and overcoming divisions that can weaken relationships and the ministry’s mission.
- Sharing our unique gifts with others and recognizing the power of collaboration and mutual support in building a vibrant and inclusive choir ministry.
- Celebrating the joy found in answering God’s call and exploring how to sustain that joy through personal growth, spiritual nourishment, and a deeper sense of purpose in serving others.
- Reflecting on the importance of walking together in faith, supporting one another, and embracing a shared mission, all while moving toward a unified vision.
It was a day filled with music, reflection and bonding.
