Many of you have let us know that you are very excited to join and wish to book your flights as soon as possible, we decided that our priority is to ensure accommodation in Lisbon. 

Therefore we are booking Pilgrim Packages which include accommodation via the WYD organization. 

We are busy trying to arrange other types of accommodation for our group, via our channels at the parish. We really hope to still achieve this! In the next weeks, we will keep you informed on the accommodation situation as it unfolds.

The WYD accommodations are humble (think large groups of people in empty gyms or school buildings) and require you to bring your own sleeping back and matras. If/when the time comes that we have other accommodation options, it will be completely optional. So you won’t be forced into any extra costs beyond the price of the Pilgrim Package.

General information about the trip:

  • Our trip will take place from 30 July – 8 August (7 nights).
  • We will meet in Lisbon in the evening of the 30th of July.
  • We will all register with the WYD PACKAGE A1+ (30 jul): Cost for the Pilgrim Package: €255
  • Package includes: 
    • Basic Accommodation,
    • Food during our stay, 
    • Transportation IN the city of Lisbon, 
    • Insurance in Lisbon, and  
    • Pilgrim Kit (we do not know the exact content of the Kit)
  • Possible ‘upgrade’ of accommodation (we do not know how many places we can arrange, but we will work with a first come, first served system. Meaning: whomever registers first, will have the first option of upgrading, then the second, then third and so forth, until the ‘upgrades’ are filled)
  • Our COS program will entail
    • In NL: Preparation meetings once a month starting in March
    • In PT: Morning meet up before the first main event
    • In PT: One group dinner at a restaurant during the week
    • In PT: One group activity during the week

Please note, the €255 does NOT include transportation TO the city of Lisbon. You will have to book your own flight/train/bus travel to Lisbon.

Also, please note, this registration is NOT refundable. Different than what we we were initially planning, we are now booking the Pilgrim Packages on your behalf with the WYD organization. They do not allow for any refunds, so if you decide not to go, we can not get the money back for you.

As a reminder, we will consider the order of registrations based on the order of payments received for improved accommodation if available, so when you are sure you’re ready please go for it!
