On 3 March 1945, the neighborhood of Bezuidenhout was accidentally bombed. Hundreds of people lost their lives and thousands were left homeless. The beautiful church that stood on this site was destroyed. It took a decade for the church that we now use to be built on the site.

Every year, the neighborhood of Bezuidenhout gathers to remember those who died during that tragic event. This year, the ceremony will be held on Sunday, 1 March. At 12:30, there will be a wreath-laying ceremony at the memorial at the end of Koningin Marialaan near the Juliana van Stolberglaan.

Further information (in Dutch) can be found in the official press release.

There is a brief history of our church building and of our parish on our parish website read more.
