On the weekend of 10-11 September 2022, historic monuments throughout the entire country open their doors to the public in an annual event known as “Open Monument Day”. It is an excellent opportunity to get a free look into some interesting historic buildings in your neighborhood, some of which are not normally open to the public. If you would like to know some of the monuments that are going to be open in your neighborhood, you can check out the open monument day website search engine, which is available in both English and Dutch.
Our lovely church building is also listed as a monument and will be open to members of the public on Sunday, 11 September from 09:30- 13:00 and 16:30- 20:00. This year, the “Open Monument Day” also coincides with our “Meet the Parish” event. This will give members of the public an ability to not only see the historical heritage of our buildings, but the also the active life of our our parish.
