Young Adult Group
This group is open to anyone between 18 and 30 years old, whether you’ve just moved to the area, or have been part of the parish for years. Some of us grew up Catholic, some are still working out what they believe in, and all are welcome to join us.
What we do
We meet every week, twice a week:
- Bible Study: We read the Bible together and talk through it, what it means and how it relates to our lives. You don’t need to have read the Bible before to join, just be curious.
- Book Club: We read and discuss books relating to our faith in different forms, history, essays, or fiction.
At the end of every month, Bible Study is replaced by something different. A group member presents a Saint or a topic that matters to them, and we discuss it together.
We also sometimes get together outside of these two meetings for social events, like a potluck or a movie. Occasionally, we team up with other parish groups, like Social Events or Justice and Peace, to put our faith into action and contribute to the Parish outside of our own little circle.
Who is it for
If you’re looking to commit to something regular, grow in your faith, and get to know people your age along the way, this is the place.
If you’d like to join or find out more, email our coordinator, Valentine, via the Parish Office or directly at youngadultsgroup@parish.nl.
