On Saturday, 21 June our Parish will go on a car and motorcycle pilgrimage to the Orientalis Museum in Nijmegen.

The Orientalis Museum started as a Catholic outdoor museum to give people who could not visit the Holy Land an impression about daily life in biblical times. The visitor walks through streets with copies of houses, and religious buildings from the Middle East. In the museum park one becomes a pilgrim on a journey of discovery through the main world religions.

The park is also home to the impressive Cenacle Church. This was built in 1913 in an early Christian oriental style especially for the pilgrims visiting the museum park.

As part of our Holy Year, Pilgrim of Hope program, COS is organizing a trip for Motor bikers and car drivers to this unique site in The Netherlands. We will gather at our Church for a blessing of the vehicles at 09.00 am. From there we will make our own way to Profetenlaan 2, Heilig Land Stichting, (near Nijmegen). On arrival at 11.00, we will gather there for a visit to the park. The entrance fee pp. is 15 Euro; for museum card holders it is free.  For more info see: www.museumparkorientalis.nl

After lunch (at your own convenience), we will have a guided tour of the impressive Cenacle church on Pastoor Rabouplein 1 (exact time TBD).

Participants should please confirm their presence through office@parish.nl by Wed, 18 June 2025.
