Señor de Los Milagros (The Lord of Miracles), also known as the “Christ of Miracles”, is an image painted of Jesus Christ that is venerated in Lima, Peru. This feast is their main Catholic celebration and features one of the largest processions in the world.
Our parish celebrated the Feast of Señor de Los Milagros on Sunday, 23 October, during the morning mass with a procession using a replica of the image generously donated by one of our parishioners. We were honored to have Ambassador Marisol Agüero Colunga, the Ambassador from the Republic of Peru, in attendance for the occasion. The Ambassador also kindly donated the lovely flowers that were placed next to the image. The image of Señor de Los Milagros is on permanent display in our church.
After the mass, empanadas were sold in the atrium by members of our parish community- a delicious way to celebrate the event. The empanada sale raised a total of Euro 101.15 which was donated to parish. A huge, “Thank you!” to all those involved.
