A group of 60-80 refugee male children aged mostly 15-18 years old have recently moved into a government-run facility in Leidschendam. They have immediate, urgent needs for good quality second hand clothing, shoes, (non-violent) games, and age-appropriate/non-violent books in English, Dutch and/or Arabic. This first group of children are from Syria, Eritrea, Somalia, Afghanistan and Iraq.  They are alone without parents or guardians, and receive 70 euros a week to pay for their own food, clothing etc – so they have very few belongings.

The Justice and Peace Group (as part of the B-COS Hand in Hand Refugee Project) will be collecting these items after the masses on all Sundays in September at the Welcome Table. The boys range from 160-180cm in height and wear children’s clothing, or adult sized clothing size XS, S, and M. Please have any items clean, in good condition, and already in bags for easy transport. We are very grateful for your kind donations.

Call for good bikes for the Refugee boys in Leidschendam

The boys are also in need of good quality bikes to get them to school. Please deliver your donations directly to Overgoo 5 in Leidschendam. We need to think of safety so please no rusty or broken  bikes. Thank you!!
