Inspirational Thoughts
Message for March 2022
Just when the pandemic is slowly fading away, a new depressing time has started with the war in Ukraine. Many parishioners ask what our parish can do for the victims. Apart from our Lenten Campaign and helping out via the National 555 campaign, our prayers, bake sales, refugee program and support to people who opened their homes, we are also providing trauma counselling and a warm community. This crisis will have long lasting effects and we cannot do everything. Once the attention from the press fades, help will still be needed. Especially during the summer months when many institutions and people plan their vacations, ongoing support will be needed. For me, the question is not only what we can do now, but also in the long term. Offering a spiritual home for our orthodox brothers and sisters is also a big comfort. It will be a demanding time for Ora et Labora. Fr. Sjaak
