Pilgrimage to Medjugorje

July 8, 2022

Have you ever wanted to go on a pilgrimage?  Some members of the COS Rosary prayer group are preparing to travel to Medjugorje from 27 September- 4 October. Coincidentally, our former Papal Nuncio, Aldo Cavalli, is now the Papal envoy to Medjugorje- so a nice link to The Hague.

The tour itself is offered by a commercial tour company out of the UK (https://www.aglowpilgrimages.com/ ).  The cost of the pilgrimage includes round-trip flights between Amsterdam and Split as well as bus transportation between Split and Medjugorje, accommodation with half-board (breakfasts and dinners) and local guides.

For any enquiries, or to register your interest in joining the group, please contact Elias Christofi via email (epchristofi@gmail.com) . Elias will ensure that interested participants are able to coordinate among themselves in the coming months about travel arrangements within the Netherlands for this trip. Once a confirmation response has been received from Elias, interested parishioners will need to make their own pilgrimage booking and pay the deposit on the tour company’s website, and then inform Elias that they have booked. Ideally, all bookings should be made by 20 July 2022.

It promises to be an enriching experience.

Since 1981, in a small village in Bosnia-Herzegovina named Medjugorje, the Blessed Virgin Mary has been appearing and giving messages to the world. She tells us that God has sent her to our world, and these years she is spending with us are a time of grace granted by God. She tells us, “I have come to tell the world that God exists. He is the fullness of life, and to enjoy this fullness and peace, return to God”.

Further background information is available on the tour company’s website.
